In reaching and ruling on today's decision, the FCC relied on both Federal Communications Act's and the U.S. District Courts' rulings that found universal service obligations do apply to telecom companies that provide broadband services and the provision in FCC's order to AT&T was valid under the Communications Act. FCC also relied on its own authority granted under the Telecommunications Act in Section 706, which authorizes the FCC to take "other affirmative action assure proper and effective service."

CONCLUSION AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS
The results of current clinical and pathological investigations provide compelling evidence that a novel, orally active and neuroprotective agent can be used to treat MDMA-induced neurotoxicity.
